This place is amazing! We came for Agate Beach, but there is an entire state park here, called Sue-Meg. We walked in from the road and explored some magical forest trails on the way. There were stone stairs and a ceremonial rocks with …
This was just a short drive from our hotel where we stayed while hiking redwoods. Was a nice to place to visit if you don't have enough time for a long hike in the redwoods. It is a state park and had an entrance fee since we drove. Couple picks added for trails at the same park.
The hike down was a bit rough on unexpecting legs (it took about 15 minutes going fast, 30 at a decent pace). Coming up seemed faster, and there are benches to rest on. …
Beautiful beach. You will need to make a small downhill hike to access beach which is pretty easy but can be difficult for some on the way back up. Not wheelchair accessible unfortunately. Bathrooms and trash cans are at parking lot, none at the beach itself.

It is not an easy hike both in incline and trail durability. Several sections appear to be eroded and make the passage a scramble.
The beach is nice; however, very difficult “sand”. It is quite course and makes walking difficult. That said, the views are awesome. Sea cliffs to the left with paragliders gliding. The view of the cliffs looking south look very nice.
Very beautiful beach! The climb down and back up is quite interesting, but also very beautiful and scenic! The water is quite cold, the waves were ferocious, and beautiful agates were everywhere! It is advised not to swim, not even allow …
